State Overviews

State snapshots are a quick way to get a general overview of a given state’s Latino population by ancestry, origin, and change over time. The section opens with a national map that shows population density (overall Latinos in each state) from which you can access each state’s snapshot. Alternatively, below the map there is an index of states in alphabetical order with the same function.

State Profiles are an in-depth analysis of various Latino statistics of each state. They include all of the above in addition to top cities, top counties, Latino registered voters, and more. The national map in this section includes Latino percentage of the total population in each state. As with the previous State Snapshots, below the map there is an index of states in alphabetical order with the same function.
